Ideal for a couple's getaway
We had a lovely experience at the hotel, the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was amazing, probably the best sausage I’ve ever had. One evening, despite the kitchen closing early, the manager made sure my partner got a meal, which was really thoughtful.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was still acceptable for the level of service we received.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Charming location near Oakham's center. Enjoyed delicious shortbread biscuits in the lounge, which added a nice touch. The executive double room had a few minor upkeep issues, but overall, it was a pleasant place to relax after exploring the area.

The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful, especially when I needed directions around town. I also loved the cozy terrace area where I could unwind with a drink and some of the fantastic artwork decorating the walls, it really added character.
It was a bit pricey, but reasonable for what you get.

I enjoyed my stay at The George Inn. The friendly staff made me feel welcomed right from check-in. My double room was spacious and had a cozy atmosphere. The bar area was inviting, with a lovely fireplace that added to the charm. Breakfast was a highlight, with the best sausage I’ve ever had. The location is central, making it easy to explore. Access to free parking was a convenient perk. I found the room lacked sufficient storage for my luggage, making it feel cramped. The bathroom could use some updates, especially the shower area, which felt outdated. my experience was mostly positive, with a few minor annoyances.
